About Me

Amy Duarte is a visual effects artist and illustrator whose career began at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where she was recruited during her college years and continued on prior to graduating. She went on to build a distinguished body of work spanning visual effects, illustration, and design across more than 40 major motion pictures, including Fantastic Four, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and The Amazing Spider-Man. Her work on Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End contributed to an Academy Award nomination for Visual Effects. As a lead artist on several productions, she guided teams in crafting cinematic visuals at the highest level.

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia and raised across three countries, Amy Duarte brings a global perspective to her work. She is fluent in six languages and an avid polo player, and was part of the design team behind Apple’s top-secret commercial for the Apple Watch prior to its debut.
